Market Strategist recruitment

In this integral function, as part of Zurich's Market Strategy and Macroeconomics team within Investment Management, you will work closely with the regional investment specialists to help construct a robust and prescient capital market and macro outlook for the Group.

You will support the Head of Asian Market Strategy in developing in-house expertise on markets in the Asia/Pacific region, with a focus on Australia and the ASEAN markets, as well as collaborating with the head of the team on the US investment landscape. You will monitor the economic, market and political developments in the focus areas, and provide timely feedback and opinion on major events that may affect markets and the global outlook. The function requires you to provide high quality written material in English, as well as present views and findings to a wider audience within the Zurich Group.

You should have a Masters degree in economics or business administration, and be a holder of a professional investment qualification such as CFA. We expect a minimum of 5 years work experience in the investment industry and local knowledge from part of the coverage area would be a distinct advantage. You should be experienced in formulating and explaining top-down macro investment strategies and have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to project confidence and debate persuasively with senior colleagues. We value an independent, logical thinker, who is committed to providing high quality work. As an open-minded and ambitious personality, who sets high standards and is a team player, you will be pleased to work in a dynamic team environment within an international, multi-cultural department, based in Zurich.
