The Market Support Managers number one job responsibility is to deliver the most remarkable patient experience, in every dimension, every time, and understand how he or she contributes to the health systems vision of achieving that commitment to patients and families. The Market Support Manager cultivates opportunities for establishing market growth for Novant Health through strengthening relationships with employers and physicians within the communities that Novant serves. The Market Support Manager is responsiblefor developing and fostering long term relationships with physicians, office managers, referral coordinators, employers, community/political leaders, and civic organizations in their assigned market area(s). As a Novant Health representative; the Market Support Manager builds strategic partnerships with business/industry and becomes the external resource to develop effective health management programs for companies resulting in a positive return on their investment . The Market Support Manager will be expected to successfully demonstrate the following responsibilities: Serve as the single point of contact for physicians and their staff and business and community partners. Maintain open and effective communication. Identify and support the needs of our community and corporate partners in their respective market. Connect corporate community partners to Novant Health. Establish positive, long-term relationships with physicians and corporate partners through consultative sales techniques. Create opportunities for collaborative relationships between physicians and corporate partners. Educate about healthcare resources and other community services. Facilitate process improvement throughout the system to help achieve the highest quality of care. Partner with physicians, Novant leaders, community relations, service lines, and the foundation staff to meet initiatives and goals. Coordinating resources within the healthcare system. Data collection and benchmarking through a customer management software system.

Graduate of an accreidted program. Clinical or technical background of RN, LPN, MLT/MT or Registered Radiology Technician (RRT) or other Allied Health professional strongly preferred. License/certification required for field (as applicable). Work experience: Minimum of 3 years successful management and sales/liaison experience/ referral development. Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific competency assessments. Knowledge, skills and abilities required: Current and future trends/practice in area of responsibility; practice and physician profiling; regulatory and governing standards, policies and procedures; information systems and software used in area of responsibility; equipment used in performing assigned duties; application of safety and infection control policies and procedures; skills in interviewing and selection process; teambuilding, conflict management, and interpersonal relationship skills; principles of adult learning and teaching methods/models; decision making, project leadership and consultation, delegation and communication skills; understanding of customer needs and expectations and knowledge for improvement to exceed customer expectations.
