Marketing Analyst
BlackRock's Global Marketing and Communications team is looking for a marketing analyst to partner with the firm's RIA business, specifically supporting the firm's investment strategies targeted at high-net-worth investors and helping to drive business strategy. The RIA Channel has aggressive growth goals over the next 5 years that require dedicated strategy, support and marketing execution.
Primary responsibility will be the execution of thoughtful marketing campaigns and collateral to position the firm's investment strategies and value proposition for high-net-worth advisors, institutional consultants, RIAs, and their clients, as well as partnering with sales leadership to develop sales and business strategy to increase market share in this important and rapidly expanding client segment.
The successful candidate will lead strategic marketing initiatives for these businesses from conceptualization to finalization, by applying analytical skills, investment acumen, and strong program management capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Partner with BlackRock's RIA sales teams to drive business with RIA advisor segments through thoughtful, customized marketing initiatives
- Coordinate with other BlackRock businesses, including but not limited to: USWA Product Marketing, iShares, portfolio management, product specialists, investment communications and institutional marketing teams to deliver the sophisticated and in-depth servicing these segments require.
- Work closely with the retail Alternatives Investments and Separately Managed Account teams to position 40-act and qualified purchaser AI product and SMAs to RIA segments.
- Create on-going and ad-hoc documents to analyze BlackRock's sales, market share and AUM in the retail high-net-worth marketplace. Develop insightful presentations that report this information to management committee of US Wealth Advisory including head of sales, relationship management and marketing.
- Schedule, coordinate and execute events, seminars, webinar and conference calls for RIA advisor segments.
- Provide customized direct and email marketing support, in conjunction with BlackRock's relationship marketing team, to effectively communicate with RIA advisor segments.
- Support the BlackRock RIA sales team training initiatives.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience from a top tier asset management, consulting or other financial services firm with a preference towards professionals with experience in marketing, sales strategy or banking
- Strong attention to detail with strong critical thinking and problem solving capabilities
- Solid interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work well in a team-based environment and interact and communicate effectively - written and verbal – with clients and other stakeholders
- Interest in portfolio management and solving needs of high-net-worth clients such as efficient portfolio construction, asset allocation, retirement income planning, tax-management issues, alternative investing, etc.
- Understanding of intermediary-sold separately managed account (SMA) and alternative investment marketplace at major US broker-dealers is a plus
- Strong PC Skills, including Word, PowerPoint, advanced knowledge of Excel
