Marketing Analytics Leader Job in Walnut Creek, California US

The Marketing Analytics Manager is responsible for a department that produces key marketing analytics and modeling. He or she collaborates with marketing/state partners in driving marketing strategy and targeting, through segmentation analysis and predictive model building for members and prospects. He or she will collaborate with direct marketing, product analytics and sales to get agreement on risk/profitability/sales for short term and long term goals. Collaborate with counterparts from partner clubs to share knowledge as needed to gain agreement on mutual goals for short/long term, and establish marketing analytic plan.

- Key deliverables include, developing analytical roadmap to drive marketing efficiency, collaboration with Database Marketing to evaluate campaigns and make recommendations.

- Key skill sets include management and strong communication and presentation skills. Classic training in data mining, statistical analysis, marketing segmentation, life-time value and predictive modeling.

Works in an office environment sitting at a desk, table or computer workstation for long periods of time. May travel by car, plane or other form of transportation to attend business meetings or conferences. Approximately 50-80 percent of time spent on the job involves the use of a personal computer.

Knowledge, Skills Abilities

Required:

- Manages issues of diverse scope where analysis of the situation or data requires a working knowledge of divisional strategy, objectives and business partner plans

- Knowledge of customer analysis methodologies, approaches and tools

- Interpersonal communication and political acumen skills, including strong negotiation and problem recognition/avoidance/resolution skills

- Strong mathematical skills, analytical/research skills and mastery of statistical techniques to transform raw data into insights

- Multivariate statistical analysis, including regression analysis, decision trees, cluster analysis and direct/database marketing analysis

- Ability to manage external vendors and contractors

- Establish operational objectives and work plans based on the needs of business partners Business partner relationship skills

- Ability to lead teams and manage people

Preferred:

- Organize staff appropriately to deliver results with a minimum of direction or intervention from the department Executive

- Ability to interact and present to senior management

Required:

- Bachelor's degree in related area (BA/BS degree in business, statistics, computer science or related discipline) or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred:

- Advanced degree (MS/MBA) in related area.

- 2 years Previous supervisory experience

- 10 years Experience in customer analysis and/or research
