Marketing and Channels Controller – APAC recruitment
Manage revenue across 18 countries and 4 large multinational companies. Through a direct organization of 14 employees and a matrix organization of another 5 employees, the Regional Marketing and Channel Controller is responsible for Consumption Strategies across 18 countries. The role partners with the APAC Regional Sales and Business Development Director and the APAC Regional Marketing Director to drive demand to optimize short term and long terms sales goals. As a leader in the organization, the Marketing and Channels Controller and his/her team drive decision makers to the right answer on important strategic and tactical matters by using critical thinking, financial analysis, and process execution. The team is chartered to help customer teams grow the company’s revenue and profit through robust analysis, effective processes, and planning with the right analysis for each decision. As a full partner in business decisions with directors and general managers, the Marketing and Channels Controller is sought out and listened to on a spectrum of topics going beyond his/her functional expertise and defines and drives strategic results and objectives by effectively partnering with a diverse set of business partners.
The core responsibilities include:
• Executive Management Presentations, Discussion and Influence
-Development and Execution of In country and region consumption strategies to expand the market and increase brand preference for the products and services
-Proactively identifies opportunities , industry and competitive trends to impact decision making of the Regional VP staff
-Partners with functional finance groups ( Tax, Trade, Credit, Audit and Treasury) to optimize decision making for the shareholder
-Reinforces and roles a culture of Integrity
• Marketing and Channel Strategy Development and Implementation
-Partners with the Regional Director of Marketing and the Regional Director of RCO to develop programs with high ROI impact
-Provides professional financial and critical thinking expertise to assess the ROI, advantages and disadvantages of program strategies
-Develops and Implements indicators to judge program milestones are tracking to goals and proactively address gaps to goals
• Country Budget and Planning and Close Reporting.- Company revenue optimization and country spending planning with forecasting and reporting accuracy, effective controls, sales program compliance, and system implementations
-Use available data and analysis to define metrics that influence revenue growth
-Forecast within accepted error tolerances
-Efficient compliance on various SOX areas
-Systems implemented without excursions
Qualifications
Key qualifications include demonstrated success working with senior executives, outstanding communication skills, and ability to work across multiple organizations, functions and geographies to deliver results efficiently. Candidate should have 10+ years of finance experience. In-depth experience in most aspects of financial operations is required, along with proven influence and strategic thinking capabilities. An undergraduate degree in finance or accounting as well as an MBA is considered to be ideal. Demonstrated track record to deliver business results, in a large MNC environment, is key for the position
Additional qualifications include:
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in compute devices such as smartphones, smart TVs, tablets, in-vehicle systems, or software, and security-like value added services
• Proven manager with the ability to engage in organization development planning/execution and manage a cross-site organization
• Comfortable in working in a cross-cultural environment with people across multiple countries and background
• Independent, proactive, self-starter with high tolerance of ambiguity, and great communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to partner with and influence extremely competent business partners providing external acumen, independent ideas, and robust financial analysis
• Excellent written and verbal English skills are required. Proficiency at Chinese is highly desired
• Mobility/ Relocation is highly desired for future career growth
