Business Overview:
Fixed Income Investors Group (FIIG) is a multi-product fixed income asset management division of New York Life Investments. FIIG focuses on U.S. dollar-denominated debt in the following asset classes: investment grade and high yield bonds, senior secured bank loans, residential mortgage-backed and asset-backed securities, private placements, project finance, treasuries, agencies and short-terms.

Job Description:
The candidate will support the marketing and client relationship functions. This job requires working very closely with investment teams, legal, compliance and securities operations.

Job Responsibilities:
70% Marketing Support
• Responsible for the completion and oversight of due diligence RFP’s, RFI's, and all other client/consultant related questionnaires. Work with all areas of FIIG: investment teams, legal, compliance and securities operations to ensure that RFPs/questionnaires are answered accurately, completely and meet client assigned deadlines.
• Create and maintain institutional marketing materials, pitch books and performance updates (fact sheets).
• Responsible for compiling market and index data used for prospective and current client meetings/presentations.
• Responsible for aggregating and analyzing historical portfolio data and providing requested information on historical track record and holdings for our funds to prospective clients.
• Work with FIIG teams and the web design team to develop, enhance and maintain websites.
• Assist with the review of the prospectus information for the MainStay funds and prepare any necessary filings and commentary
• Compile research for market commentary and provide initial write-up.
• Responsible for processing all marketing materials through the compliance review system.

20% Client Relationship Management
• Act as a back-up point person for institutional relationship management and the client servicing of the third-party asset management business.
• Responsible for maintaining the Client Council database with all relevant client-related materials.
• Work on the implementation of a Client Relationship Management system (CRM) and RFP system.
• Responsible for organizing and facilitating site visits and training programs for clients. This task involves planning and organizing and coordinating with portfolio managers, analysts, traders and operations professionals to ensure client needs are met.
• Responsible for compiling and reviewing monthly/quarterly client portfolio presentations, strategy fact sheets and quantitative and qualitative strategy updates.

10% General Support
• Handle ad hoc requests for research on economic and market data.

Employment Background:
• 2-3 years of investment management and/or financial marketing experience.
• BA required.
• Advanced computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong knowledge of fixed income.
• Excellent mathematical and analytic skills.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Possess a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
• Take initiative to suggest creative ways to enhance existing marketing materials.
• Results driven and not discouraged by obstacles.
