Marketing and Events Coordinator
The main purpose of the role is to promote the company and the company’s product range within UK, with a particular focus on the end to end management and co-ordination of events, conferences, corporate hospitality and portfolio manager visits.
It will be the responsibility of the candidate to:
• Create and manage internal and external events for clients and /or employees. • Prepare and deliver pre event business plans and briefings. • Develop and maintain venue information sheets. • Improve, develop and implement new event concepts and hospitality solutions. • Manage each event budget. • Provide a calendar of industry and client events held by third parties and competitors. • Report on success of each event and create best practice models. • Manage relationships and contracts with third party event organisers.
The role requires:
• A degree educated candidate (or equivalent) • Prior experience of managing events for financial service clients in the UK. • Experience of creating and developing marketing materials. • A Professional Diploma in Marketing • An Investment Management Certificate • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to create own network of key contacts. • Advanced Microsoft office skills – particularly excel and PowerPoint, some knowledge of html an advantage • Proficiency in desktop publishing – ideally InDesign, Photoshop. • Awareness of technology to support events in the financial space – such as social media, barcode scanners, database management etc. • Sound and demonstrable knowledge of UK-wide venues for different type of events An excellent opportunity for a highly organised and diligent candidate with strong negotiation skills who is looking is looking to play a key part in the sales effort of a major financial institution.
