Clariant Mining Solutions, located in The Woodlands, TX, is searching for a Marketing Specialist who will work closely with the Mining team to support growth in the global mining industry.
DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES
Market Research
• Analyze the current environment and uncover new mining opportunities through country specific research
• Review the competitive landscape in the mining industry by examining the major players in the market
• Update develop presentations on findings for management
Literature Website development
• Aid the marketing team in the development process of updating and creating new literature
• Contribute to the content creation for the new Mining Solutions website
• Help develop and maintain SharePoint sites
Business Analysis
• Review reports, analyze data and update/maintain databases to ensure accuracy and up-to-date information
• Provide support of material preparation for the evaluation of strategic projects for investment
• Be an interface between the sales, marketing and supply chain teams
Position Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mining / Metallurgy or Finance (those graduating in December 2011 will be considered)
• Minimum 1 year business or technical experience
• Excellent computer skills especially proficient with Excel, and PowerPoint
• Prior experience with SAP, Access, SharePoint, or web design is a plus
• Marketing experience a plus
• Ability to tackle multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
