We are currently recruiting for a Marketing Assistant to join our SP Capital IQ division in Canary Wharf. This position will support the SP Capital IQ Corporates, Commercial Lending and Specialty Organizations marketing team, with emphasis on RatingsDirect, Insurance Markets and Credit Analytics. You will be involved in the development and execution of all elements of the marketing mix including client/prospecting e-mail campaigns, sponsored events, direct mail, collateral materials, marketing promotions, customer communications, product public relations and market/marketing research. This position is also responsible for database and list management, tracking and measuring marketing department effectiveness, conference planning and management, as well as assistance with Web content management.
Essential Accountability:
- To support the marketing team in planning, executing, and maximizing marketing campaigns to help build awareness, and drive customer acquisition and retention. Coordinate front-end, creative, production, and back-end support for these campaigns, including online and offline direct marketing campaigns, sales collateral, and events and conferences
- Use internal systems (including Salesforce.com and Eloqua) to measure marketing department effectiveness. Support the development and execution of automated tracking processes
- Assist in the creation, production, and revision of sales/marketing collateral materials, direct mail pieces and promotional emails for products and services. Consult with product managers, sales managers and marketing colleagues in New York to research and update content. Supervise the design, printing, production and distribution of all collateral and direct marketing materials
- Organize and maintain inventory of promotional items and conference supplies; assisting to maintain the marketing department storage room (houses all marketing collateral, premiums, and supplies) in an orderly fashion
- Manage customer data through data modeling/mining; helping to identify customer behavior and customer segments for forecasting and planning purposes
- Assist with identifying new sources for prospecting contact lists in the segment and assist with filling in sales whitespace lists for campaigns
- Develop and execute Eloqua e-marketing campaigns
- Provide measurement and analysis of marketing initiatives such as campaign response rates, leads conversion rates, event attendance rates, and feedback scores. Support marketing team in the development of quarterly score card
- Recommend and implement marketing research initiatives in order to better understand who our customers are, what they need, and how to reach them, includes building and maintaining advertising publication lists and association lists
Skills
Required:
- Relevant degree preferred, preferably with a major in marketing, business management, info systems or finance
- Prior exposure to marketing in a comparable field is a prerequisite
- Requires excellent computer skills including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Requires strong analytical and organizational skills
- Requires strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Experience with database marketing and online marketing is required
