Marketing Associate – Institutional Sales NWQ recruitment
A successful candidate will play an important role on this team by supporting the execution and development of the marketing strategy. This role offers a successful candidate the opportunity to work with senior partners from a sales, portfolio management and product management while developing specialized skills in structuring marketing strategies that drive results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties are generally representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive
• Hands on assistance with the development, writing and editing of marketing materials including: monthly and quarterly channel marketing reports and updates, product strategy and fact sheets, new business presentation templates, product profiles, conference presentations, call letters and other related materials
• Project management of channel marketing programs with a focus on specific products
• Improving the efficiency, consistency and quality around the continuum of product-specific marketing materials
• Project management of marketing programs and their metrics
• Maintain a prospect list, track progress and follow up with senior marketers on outstanding issues
• Proactive communication and coordination with colleagues throughout the firm on marketing programs and materials development including - sales, product, market strategy, market research, graphics, compliance, etc.
• Follow up on outstanding prospect issues moving the sales process forward
• Assist in the RFP process with internal and broader organization support staff in the production of RFPs
• Provide a professional, efficient and compliant service to intermediaries and direct clients/consultants who contact via telephone, correspondence and e-mail
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position does not entail any supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four year university required; Graduate Degree a plus
• Minimum of 2-4 years experience in the business world (preferably in Investment Management or Sales Support)
• Knowledge of investment strategies/products
Interpersonal/Communication/Language Skills:
• Ability to clearly present introductory product material to clients and prospects
• Excellent team player who likes to work hard and anticipates needs
• Crisp and clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build strong working relationships with senior sales, service and product professionals
• Highly organized, self-motivated, strong work ethic
• Superb proofing (attention to detail) and editing skills
Mathematical/Analytical/Reasoning Skills:
• Strong financial and analytical skills
• Possess the ability to quickly develop an in-depth institutional marketing and business sense
• Posses the ability to find information and data on the firm
• Demonstrated success in process and project management skills
• Ability to work under time pressure
