Kawneer North America offers architectural aluminum building products and systems for the commercial construction industry. In 2010, Traco, a premier manufacturer of windows was acquired by Alcoa and is now a division of Kawneer. Together, we provide customers with a comprehensive product portfolio that includes entrances, framing systems, windows and curtain wall systems.
Under general direction of the Director, Marketing, is responsible for tactical execution of the marketing plan as it relates to programs and initiatives to enhance our brand image (Kawneer, Traco and Reynobond) through a variety of media including but not limited to websites, video, eNewsletters, social media, mobile marketing, webinars, events, presentations, advertising (online media), PR, sponsorships, collateral, etc.
The incumbent will:
- Works with inside and outside resources to project manage the execution of identified marketing communications assignments to support marketing objectives completing on time and on budget to ensure latest information is available to customers and architects - print and digital.
- Executes Building and Construction Systems (BCS) online/digital presence for three core brands - Kawneer, Traco and Reynobond. In addition to writing, editing, and proofreading content, works closely with technical, product development, and marketing members to generate content on a regular basis, so strong communication/writing skills are needed. Includes digital literature, online campaigns, eblasts, banner ads etc.
- Provides writing, editing assistance for customer bulletins and other communications as needed to support product management and other corporate requests.
- Builds and maintains marketing content by way of new online channels relevant to our industry including social media and mobile marketing as appropriate.
- Researches feature articles/project profiles and coordinates with PR firm for publishing.
- Develops PowerPoint presentations for industry events/product launches.
- Supports national trade show initiatives and events with emphasis on Alcoa Architectural Products (AAP) vertical trade shows/events.
- Supports and shares responsibility for photography process to support marketing objectives.
- Provides budget support as required and tracks ongoing expenditures relative to assigned projects, assisting in development of marketing spend forecasts.
- Position requires strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Participates in the development and execution of special assignments to support company objectives as determined by Director, Marketing.
Basic Qualifications
- The Selected candidate is required to possess the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in marketing or related field in addition to 3 + years experience in a marketing or customer facing role in a business to business environment
- Knowledge of basic marketing principles and marketing communications including digital marketing channels
- Strong computer/technology skills with a solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient in Publisher and Adobe Creative Suite - Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator and HTML
- Strong communication skills including writing experience with a technical slant
- Positive attitude, strong team player with a balance of creative and analytic aptitude
- Solid project management skills with ability to excel in a fast paced environment
Preferred Qualifications

*Some knowledge of the commercial construction industry
