MARKETING ASSOCIATE recruitment
Forum Partners has four main lines of business: (1) Asian real estate private equity, (2) European real estate private equity, (3) European distressed debt and (4) global real estate securities (public equities/REITS), which is run as Forum Securities.
Candidates should ideally have relevant experience in hedge funds, public securities, private equity, investment banking or private placement and be keen to take on an integral role in an entrepreneurial firm. Responsibilities will include fund marketing as well as investor relations support. The candidate will be expected to develop a specialized knowledge of the public securities products in addition to understanding and communicating products across the platform.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and outstanding academic record
- 3-5 Years experience at a hedge fund, private equity firm, or investment bank, with a preference for a focus on real estate
- Experience raising capital or selling financial products
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills
- Demonstrated ability to understand, analyze and articulate financial data
- Composed, poised and discreet in nature
- Must be comfortable working with senior management and have ability to develop relationships throughout the organization
- Possess a high level of integrity, understanding of the role of a fiduciary and sensitivity to confidential information
- Strong and effective decision making skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Entrepreneurial and pro-active in seeking solutions
- Interest or knowledge of real estate is an advantage
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Responsibilities Include:
- Initiate contact with prospective investors and elicit interest in the firm’s investment products
- Maintain consultant databases, respond to RFPs, DDQs and other requests
- Attend key industry conferences to assist in meeting new investment prospects
- Update and maintain management presentations and one-on-one investor meetings
- Responsible for organizing roadshows, logistics and meetings from inception to completion
- Responsibility for organization of due diligence visits in the CT office
- Provide investor feedback following all meetings and due diligence visits, including meeting notes and preparing follow up
- Liaise with investors on all meetings and events, preparing program of events and all materials and presentations associated with meetings.
- Work with investments and financial reporting team to prepare reporting information for investors
- Provide investor feedback in product development and investor relations contexts
- Draft investor questionnaires
- Assist in monitoring and managing contact database; generate reports
- Travel to investor events as required
