Reporting to : Marketing Office Customer Valuation Manager / Director Residential Marketing

Mission :

Key responsibility areas :

o Defines, proposes, and defends selected areas of program roadmap to secure funding and prioritisation in next years’ budgets

o Steers, Oversees, aligns and reports on relevant programs projects and activities (in-life management) across Mobistar

o Acts as contact point with Group to facilitate Group roadmap consolidation, and also integration of Group propositions/projects/products into local roadmaps plans

o Tracks milestones and timelines across projects and institute necessary work flow, personnel and financial resource allocations, making changes when necessary to meet expectations of the key stakeholders whether internal (Mobistar) or external (Orange).

o Analyzes and resolves issues (proactively) that have potential to jeopardize performance and/or ability to meet agreed upon deliverables, taken into account financial and operational aspects

o Plans the different phases and follow-up the different stages of the projects

o Acts as liaison on management level between all parties involved (incl. external parties) within a project in order to obtain the common goals.

o Ensures correct and in time communications to all involved parties and a clear final debriefing.

Major interactions :

Internal interactions with professionals/experts:

Daily contact with the business experts as well as the technical experts who are involved in the respective projects

with supervisors

On a weekly basis: in case of calamities, problem solving with operational management

- Daily contact with the operational managers (Market Mkg, Technical/IT, Customer Service)

 of the persons who are working on the respective projects in order:

- More times a week: in project meetings as well as on different platforms with senior management

Customer Service, Marketing, Commercial Ops, ITN, etc… attendance and presentation at program domain SteerCo

- Weekly contact with senior managers in order:

- Ad hoc contact in case of escalation.

- More times a week: in project meetings as well as on different platforms

- Monthly: meetings/platforms to negotiate and decide about the strategy which has a great importance to the company and on the roadmaps with projects.with top management

Occasionally contact with top management in order to communicate a clear final status/debriefing of the respective project. (e.g. through Major Project Committee platform)

Participation to platforms :

- Product/channel/Technical  Boards

- Program domain Steerco: - Decision about the scope of the projects

                        - Prioritisation and budget decisions

                        - Roadmaps - strategy

                        

At group level (Orange/FT) :

- SOX - Segmentation

- On regulary basis: meetings with Orange about projects and activities status and next steps

- Contact with other MCO’s about their status of the projects and in order to discuss their approach

External interactions :

Indirect reports: approx. 10 (depending of the resp. project)

Remark:

Although a project manager has no direct reports, it is even more difficult (and more skilled) to manage a transversal team without being their direct report.

Description of the team :

A head of a cross-functional project team has no direct reports. In the project team, the team members are normally experts in their domain (technical and/or business). Depending on the project, sometimes one or more consultants (external experts) are making part of the project team as well.

Depending of the complexity and the transversal character of the project, the project is reinforced by senior managers.

1. Campaign Management projects

- Put in place campaign management tool

- Creation of dedicated camp. mgt datamart

- Development of inflow processes

- Define reporting facilities

All this in collaboration with Orange.

2. Segmentation projects

Customer segmentation project (residential as well as business market): algorithm in order to segment the respective customer. This will enable Mobistar to use a differentiated customer approach based on the segment.

3. ADSL/VOIP/Convergence  projects (Product Services/Market Marketing), VoIP projects (Product Services/Market Marketing)

4. Interfacing with the different Group NExT Managers as the Mobistar NExT Marketing Program Manager in order to align, select and follow the TTM progressing of the different Products and Offers pushed by the NExT group organization.

5. Manage Residential Marketing Committee meeting

Financial responsibility :

Opex/capex :

Due to the fact that the project have a transversal character and have a strategic impact on Mobistar, the budgets are important. Eg.  Morpheus-project: approx. 650K

Revenue (if applicable) :

Specific expertise :

- Basic knowledge about financial and regulatory aspects is indispensable

- Marketing expertise is essential in view of the fact that the subject of projects are marketing related.

- Deep program domain expertise, to orient projects’ scopes priorities

Education, specific training and experience : university degree

Experience:

- In depth knowledge of technical or specialized complex telecom domains ( examples CRM, Convergence)

- In depth knowledge of the industry and the organization

- At least 10 years relevant business experience

- At least 10 years of project management experience

- Already working experience on management level is essential

Desirable qualifications:

Due to the fact that the projects are marketing related, a post-university degree in marketing is desirable.
