The function

The Marketing Communication Specialist provides full time organizational and administrative support for marketing in the Netherlands. Responsible for pulling together successful marketing events at industry level and general geographical level under the guidance of a Lead Marketing Principal, European Marketing Director. Participates as an integral part of the management services team. The Marketing Communication Specialist works with an EMEA practice team Organization and Transformation and with the business and other (global) marketing contacts. The responsibilities are: 

• Assist in creating the annual marketing plan and budget. 

• Planning, organizing and executing major marketing events as well as smaller functions throughout the year.

• Responsible for the in-house CRM tool and training CRM. 

• Analysis on marketing and events. 

• Draft marketing communications, design invitations and special event notifications.

• Work closely with preferred PR Firm on joint initiatives. 

• Organize various marketing functions from inception to completion.

• Attend meetings for marketing planning purposes and specific industry meetings to keep linked into their specific marketing plans.

• Work closely with the EA team on each event, particularly on industry specific ones.

• Monitor the marketing budget closely and highlight any anomalies to the Lead Marketing Principal.

Requirements

Your educational level is college or university, with a specialism in marketing, events and PR. 

You have a minimum of five years relevant working experience in a similar role, with a professional services firm. A strong personality with superb organizational skills. You can translate the demands of the business into concrete marketing plans and events. Strong in managing expectations. Other important skills are:

• Strong marketing, organizing and administrative skills.

• Good financial and budget planning skills. 

• Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

• Service-oriented and team player with a positive attitude. 

• Troubleshooter, stress resistant, proactive and independent.
