Marketing Communications Coordinator Job in Westlake Village 91361, California US

PRIMARY FUNCTION:               Execute and implement initiatives and deliverables to improve internal and external communications, as well as work collaboratively with Worldwide Marketing team, global JAFRA local market teams, and other functional staff to support implementation of Worldwide Marketing Communication strategies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

COMMUNICATIONS:

§  Primary ‘go-to’ Copywriter on the team:

o   Create and develop copy for use in various internal and external marketing communication pieces such as internal newsletters, regional and corporate websites, social media, press releases and articles for industry publications etc.

§  Support delivery of Spotlight, the corporate internal newsletter for JAFRA

o   Write and coordinate all needed articles from all markets/ departments for all issues

o   Work with Director, WW Marketing to create an annual calendar of themes/ articles for the strategy behind the internal newsletter

o   Cooperate with designers for the template/ design of newsletter, quoting and working with vendors to print and distribute newsletter.

§  Assist Digital Communications Manager and Director, WW Marketing on projects to increase, support and improve global internal communications

o   Help establish and create necessary processes + systems to manage images, marketing collateral, organization of the Worldwide Central Database (SharePoint/ Dropbox)

o   Support execution of major updates for Cumulus/ Akamai

o   Collaborate with Product Development Team to make necessary updates of appropriate files for SharePoint/ Dropbox

o   Manage iShare Team/ Meetings/ Materials

§  Stay on top of global marketing communications projects/ issues/ initiatives, to create necessary agendas for iShare meetings

§  Develop and communicate of iShare Agendas for monthly calls to all JAFRA markets, including follow up recordings and emails

o   Develop and implement forum/ platform to increase communications with quarterly/ monthly poll/ feedback from each market.

§  Responsible to work with Director, WW Marketing for all external communications including external press relations, press releases etc.

§  Help ensure the alignment and consistency of JAFRA brand and messaging between corporate and all local markets in all marketing collateral

§  Support and collaborate work with WW Marketing Interactive Media Coordinator and WW Director of Marketing on ad-hoc marketing communications projects, such as the implementation of brand tool kit items, or brand awareness programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:         

 Education:        Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or years of experience equivalent required.

Experience:      3+ years of experience in marketing media/public relations/communications program in direct-selling beauty industry preferred, or beauty industry/ consumer brands. Prior association and/or experience in multicultural or international environment preferred.

Skills:                   Strong command and passion for writing required. Professional writing and verbal skills adaptable for all levels of communication.  A team player with a confidence to work with various levels of management and across company functions.  Ability to partner effectively with internal departments and external vendors.  Experience in the use of technology and social media in enhancing communications or willingness to learn.  Excellent project management skills and strict attention to detail.  Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.  Resourcefulness in solving problems.  Excellent people skills with an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude.  Strong project management, time management, multi-tasking, organizational skills and keen attention to detail.  Ability to be self-motivated and proactive in completing projects.
