Marketing Communications Manager
My client is a major mobile organisation who are looking to recruit for a Marketing Communications Manager - NFC to join their team .
The objective of the Near Field Communications ("NFC") Go-To-Market (GTM) programme is to stimulate the global commercial deployment of Universal Integrated Circuit Card (UICC, also known as SIM) based NFC services.
NFC has been identified as an area of significant strategic importance to operators and to adjacent industries such as banking, transport retail commerce, entertainment, globally. However, the market is likely to remain fragmented with a wide range of technical solutions and business models with UICC based NFC services only representing one of the potential solutions. My client therefore has an important role to play in stimulating and promoting UICC based NFC ecosystems.
The Marketing Communications Manager will create and deliver project and departmental communications to a variety of audiences.
Responsibilities will include:
• Managing the production of printed collateral such as brochures, research reports, flyers etc. and writing related copy (detailed reports are written by the relevant experts)
• Producing and distributing electronic newsletters and contributing NFC GTM team-related news to generic newsletters
• Managing the content of websites and ensuring that they are kept up-to-date
• Ensuring messaging consistency and adherence to the brand guidelines in all Public Policy marketing communications activities
• Managing relationships with external suppliers such as event, design and media monitoring agencies both in the UK and abroad
• Working with the PR team to maximise media opportunities for NFC GTM projects
• Maintaining databases
• Managing budgets
This role would suit a person with at least three years' experience in a marketing communications role and a proven ability to manage and deliver marketing and promotional activities in a B2B environment.
Profile:
• An ability to think creatively in order to find solutions to a variety of different communications challenges
• The capacity to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and manage time effectively, often working to tight deadlines
• Some previous B2B experience is essential
• Experience of producing the following deliverables: events, online, printed collateral, PowerPoint slides, publishing web content (a level of Photoshop experience is also desirable)
• Desirable sector experience: Information and Communications Technology / Mobile Telecommunications /
• We have a strong preference for some international experience
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of individuals, including colleagues, GSMA members and external suppliers, i.e. a wide range of stakeholders
