Job Title:  Marketing Communications Specialist

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This position is responsible for planning and executing assigned campaigns sales tools to support global business goals in Applied Markets such as Environmental and/or Food Safety.  This position involves working across a large number of resources globally within factory marketing, field marketing, sales, service, other divisions and corporate marketing.  This role focuses on marketing full workflow solutions and how individual products fit into those solutions.

 

Campaigns planned executed will have clear objectives and tactics aligned to deliver against defined lead generation targets. Campaigns, brand awareness programs and sales tools will all be aligned to an integrated message strategy. Campaign tactics can include print online advertising, PR, direct marketing, email, social media, seminars, webinars, trade shows, development of collateral other sales tools in compliance with brand standards.

 

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or related field. Graduate degree highly desirable.

• 3-5 years experience in marketing communications, preferably in a business-to-business or industrial setting.  Experience in a regulated market highly desirable. 

• Proficiency in a foreign language(s) is desirable.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions

• Proven track record of executing lead generation campaigns meeting goals within budget and timeline.  Strong direct response copywriting skills a plus.

• Experience with iMedia campaign techniques required:  database marketing techniques, list management, email marketing, social media, web marketing and CRM strategies to drive campaign planning to reach desired response rates.

• Strong project management skills. Proven ability to manage multiple high priority projects at once through organization and documentation.

• Above average writing and oral communications skills.  Must have a comfort level with scientific content and the communications skill to pull together disparate product value propositions into a full solution story based on customer workflows.   

• Strong interpersonal/relationship skills – intercultural skills experience a plus to effectively work through global partners.

• The ability to positively influence (win-win) at all levels in a matrix environment is critical to success of role. 

• Experience with a variety of computer programs including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Adobe.  Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Access and CRM databases is a plus.
