MARKETING COMPLIANCE MANAGER
Description:
Our client, a leading asset manager is seeking a Global Marketing Compliance Manager to join their office in Edinburgh. The Global Marketing Compliance Manager supports the Head of Client Governance ensuring the firm maintains robust controls around the management of producing global marketing collateral to support the firm’s product range, ensuring that all material is considered clear, fair and not misleading and mitigating the risk of poor client outcomes.
The successful candidate will be focussed on how the company embeds fair treatment of clients within its business with a focus on the production and management of marketing collateral and how the firm effectively assess the method, transparency and nature of communication to clients.
Core Responsibilities:
- Managing and conducting reviews of Financial Promotions ensuring that all output is considered fair, clear and not misleading
- Guidance of local marketing regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement training for key staff on financial promotions topics
- Manage, maintain and socialise the firm’s Financial Promotions guide
- Seek to continually improve the controls around the marketing process, including MRM, ensuring that Marketing deliver improved outcomes for the production of marketing material to clients
- Produce reports for Senior Management on compliance monitoring and assurance activities
- Handle routine compliance enquiries from the business and assist with other regulatory matters as directed by Head of Client Governance
- Liaise with second line defence functions to determine best practice/approach based on the interpretation of existing and new regulatory requirements
- Work with key stakeholders across the business to enhance the global client governance model

Core Requirements:
- Comprehensive regulatory knowledge with a deep understanding of global regulatory requirements in respect of advertising material and financial promotions
- Previous exposure to approval of financial promotions
- Comprehensive knowledge of Asset Management industry
- A good working knowledge of the legal, compliance and regulatory provisions
- Compliance experience, with relevant experience in the approval of financial promotions
- IMC, CFA or CISI qualified
