Baker Newman Noyes is looking for a hard-working, dependable, highly organized and creative individual to join the firm’s growing marketing department. This individual will be responsible for coordinating and leading numerous marketing projects under the direction of the Director of Marketing.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, PR, advertising, English, business or related field.
  2. A minimum of 3-5 years marketing or communications experience.
  3. Experience working in a professional services firm a plus.
  4. Creative and innovative.
  5. Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interface will all levels of firm management, staff, clients, and outside business contacts.
  6. Be able to operate under pressure and meet deadlines.
  7. Demonstrates sound judgment, is detail oriented, and understands the CPA’s code of ethics with respect to handling sensitive or confidential information.
  8. Excellent Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email (Outlook) skills. Knowledge of content management systems and design platforms (InDesign, Photoshop etc.) a plus.
  9. Excellent copywriting skills – ability to rework technical text for a broader audience.
  10. Team player – works to ensure team goals are met or exceeded.
  11. Willingness to learn new tasks and exhibits a positive, can-do attitude.
  12. Builds relationships internally between the marketing department and other key departments.
  13. Is comfortable taking direction from several supervisors and negotiating their requirements.
  14. Demonstrates ability to work with little direct supervision.
  15. Good project management skills and ability to manage to a project budget.
  16. Strong understanding of new technologies and how they can be applied to marketing including an interest and knowledge of social media.
