Responsibilities:
POSITION OVERVIEW: Marketing Director responsible for day-to-day leadership and operations of the Marketing function supporting the Midtown and Downtown offices of CBRE. Primary responsibilities include developing and implementing marketing policies and activities such as new business development, and strategy including the creation and implementation of the NY Marketing Strategic Plan.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development
- Manages business development function and staff for the Marketing Center.
- Provides input and oversight to development of client presentations and RFP responses; responsible for quality review of Marketing Center deliverables.
- Analyzes commercial real estate trends and reads trade journals to monitor market trends and identify market opportunities for new business.
- Contributes to development of thought leadership pieces including white papers and other business development related collateral, collaborating with both Market Research and Corporate Communications.
Marketing Operations
- Creates weekly marketing reports for management reference on business development activities and projects NY Marketing is working on.
- Responds to and resolves strategic marketing-related questions.
- Provides on-site marketing training and education sessions as required.
- Presents at local office market meeting and participates in national monthly market meetings to present latest marketing tools and resources to sales professionals.
- Contributes marketing materials and best practices to CBRE library.
Marketing Strategy and Continuous Improvement
- Creates and implements NY Marketing Strategic Plan in collaboration with business leaders.
- Counsel and advise business leaders on business pursuits and strategy.
- Evaluates and provides recommendations related to the latest marketing tools, technology and presentation delivery media.
- Provides creative direction and design input to presentations, proposal response and other business development facing deliverables.
- Collaborates with Research to drive market segmentation and targeting activities aimed at new business development.
- Leverages business analytics and insights to refine CBRE value proposition and messaging.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university and a minimum of six to ten years of related experience and/or training. MBA preferred.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Reviews complex financial/business analysis and reports prepared by subordinates. Ability to analyze the most complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions. Develops and implements financial policies and procedures. Approves and oversees departmental budget.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite.Must have a solid grasp of fundamental concepts of print and web publishing and graphic design principles. Intermediate skills with web design and various software programs include PageMaker, PhotoShop, QuarkXpress, Freehand, Illustrator, Flash and Microsoft Office Suite. Basic project management, editing and writing skills required.
