Marketing Director – Southern Europe recruitment
The Role
Develop and implement integrated marketing and communications strategies for the Southern European (France, Italian and Iberian) institutional and intermediary client markets across a wide range of products (passive, active, alternative, ETF). Have a deep understanding of opportunities within these markets and tailor marketing activity and drive projects accordingly.
Responsibilities
• Work with the CEO of SSgA France and the EMEA Head of Marketing to devise and implement integrated marketing campaigns and communications to deliver against institutional and intermediary product priorities, sales objectives and new product launches
• Manage a small marketing team to ensure delivery of the overall marketing strategy
• Project manage campaigns and all relevant components
• Develop a campaign mix to include Marketing Literature, Presentations, Internet, Intranet, Media, Events, Conferences PR, Internal Communications and Training
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to plan and deliver relevant components – Sales, Client Teams, Product Development and Management, Investment Teams, Product Engineers, PR Media, Events, Writers, Digital Marketing, Creative, Legal, Compliance
• Drive marketing literature development and update agenda for priority products. Content/branding oversight of marketing collateral (fund brochures, profiles, case fors etc) – ensuring compatibility with client facing requirements and sales initiatives
• Identify issues, subjects and suitable opportunities upon which the firm can establish presence in the press - work with corporate communications to deliver these to the appropriate media
• Work as a senior member of the EMEA Marketing team contributing to the wider European marketing effort and collaborating freely
• Contribute to messaging development as it pertains to brand and product initiatives
• Monitor the effectiveness of campaigns and contact programmes around KPIs
• Ensure projects delivered in line with budgeting objectives
• Build understanding of product range, competitors and market position
• Analysis of client base and market, including competitor analysis, in order to identify market opportunities and effective product positioning/messaging.
• Work with and effectively leverage the global Marketing team
Qualifications
• Significant marketing and asset management experience
• Fluency in both French and English with Italian/Spanish a benefit
• Strong management skills and ability to lead a team
• Excellent interpersonal and team-working skills
• Ability to think strategically whilst implementing the plan pragmatically
• Adept at working independently whilst collaborating with a wider team based in alternative locations
