Marketing Executive – Events recruitment

Alexander Forbes arranges and attends a diverse range of events including, internal conferences, industry exhibitions, client round tables, corporate hospitality to name a few. The successful candidate will have a track record of event management to a high level and be confident to create a successful event strategy.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Managing high profile internal and external events and project manage them effectively, these will need to be developed within pre-agreed budgets and timescales and where appropriate measure ROI to help shape future activity.

• Develop event ideas and put proposals together for key stakeholders and business owners to review.

• Develop an event strategy and investigate new technology such as webinars as additional events.

• On-site event management at all events.

• Be involved in all aspects of event planning, from packaging of event material/items, organising couriers etc.

• Co-ordinating attendee acceptances and providing additional communication to guests.

• Manage the events calendar and event photos on the intranet site.

• Managing agency relationships used to deliver events and promotional items.

• Manage branded promotional items and gifts and ensure stock is adequate for business requirements.

• Work effectively with other team members to develop supporting documents such as invitation/brochures.

• Alexander Forbes parent company is in South Africa and you will be expected to develop a working relationship with key members of the South African marketing department.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in event management, in order to make an impact from day one. You will present impeccable communication skills and possess the confidence needed to engage and manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
