Fantastic opportunity for marketing executive to join our growing scholarly membership association. This is an exciting role which involves working within publishing and PR and offers the right person the opportunity for International travel.
The Company
Our client is a growing scholarly membership association. The organisation has a diverse portfolio of activities including: publishing (books and journals) and a number of conferences and events that serve its international community.
The Role
• Responsible for the implementation of the marketing strategies for the organisation, with a focus on continued growth of its membership, events and publishing activities.
• Using a wide range of media you will work across all areas of the company to ensure all activities and products are promoted effectively.
• Devising and implementing email, social media, print and POS marketing campaigns; ensuring all campaigns cross-promote all relevant areas wherwe possible and appropriate.
• Publishing: Raise the profile of the ECPR Press by increasing its sales into libraries and book shops, reviews and citations.
• Core activities: Raise the profile of the organisation to both its international membership and the wider political science community through marketing and PR strategies.
• Attend international events to represent the organisation as and when required.
• The role will be split between working between the in-house publishing imprint and the Pr side of the company

The Person
• Excellent marketing skills
• Knowledge of the book trade would be a distinct advantage
• Good IT skills
• Design skills and a working knowledge of Adobe design packages would be very useful
• An ability to work within a small team
• A willing and flexible approach
