Marketing Finance Manager recruitment

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

To contribute in the overall marketing strategy, enabling the marketing organisation to develop and
execute effective plans and take informed decisions through provision of financial evaluation, analysis,
expertise and advice.

To deliver robust commercial and financial analysis for the Global SOP, QPR exercises and
adhoc analysis covering performance of our Brands, Innovations and Marketing Investment to
be reviewed at GMLT and FLT levels.

To lead the development of strong financial and commercial awareness within the marketing
function.

To be a key leader with the Marketing Reporting and Planning team which reviews and reports
progress on key marketing metrics of the Group.

To inspire, develop and lead one other Finance Manager in the team.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

General

1.To provide high quality-financial and commercial insights into the Marketing Planning activities: Global SOP, Strategy Review and Budget Review.

2.Working to tight deadlines with high volume of information deliver key Marketing numbers at Quarterly exercises and Company Plan. This will include Global marketing investment analysis by Region and by market, performance of our GDB's to Brand Margin and performance of our innovations.

3.Support Regions and End markets over clarification of reporting requirements and review inputs to ensure quality and consistency. Be focus point for Regions on all Marketing financial reporting issues.

4.Leader in rolling out the new marketing PL to the Group: This will give us greater clarity over our marketing investment, performance of our innovations and investment behind Consumer, Customer, Product and Overheads.

5.Review and present progress on overheads for Global Marketing included in Management Board reports and provide analysis and recommendations to GMLT level.

6.External reporting: Support the Group in the external exercises in delivering on the requirements for all external reporting periods concerning the financial health of our brands and marketing investment including the Annual report and presentations. Provide analysis and interprutation for the analyst presentations on the financial health of our Global Drive Brands and Innovations.

7.Support the delivery of a cost conscious culture in Central Marketing with the delivery of first class financial analysis covering key areas of marketing investment at Globe House.

The Marketing Finance Manager is a Finance professional with a highly commercial approach, who needs to understand marketing and also the interrelationship/interfaces between functions. The role requires an individual with the following attributes and behaviours.

*Capable of analysing financial impact of and providing insights to marketing strategies
*Ability to management day to day operations and to priorities activities to ensure that ad hoc requests are met
*Able to demonstrate the need for, and ensure implementation of, appropriate systems and controls.
The individual should be highly numerate and also possess a high level of ability to review, analyse and report complex data on a regular basis.

Experience
Quailfied Finance professional with significant proven experience within an FMCG Company. Proven experience within a key reporting role.

Key Success Factors
Implementation and use of financial information and tools in marketing to support Group diagnosis, marketing strategy and business decisions.

Ability to articulate financial concepts in operational/commercial terms to ensure that an entrepreneurial approach is adopted by marketing managers.

Represent with authority the marketing requirements in terms of systems and data collection in order to present financial information to assess performance and support resource allocation amongst brands and markets.
