Marketing Management Infomation Manager

The Management Information / Business Intelligence Manager  (MI/BI) will design a strategy and roadmap for MI/BI and execute on it with the intent of delivering a single source of MI/BI which is accurate, relevant and reliable. The MI/BI manager will also ensure the ongoing provision of data warehouses and essential reporting services across the Direct BU of The Group. The MI/BI manager will have overall responsibility for ensuring that the business has accurate, reliable and relevant single source of operational data on an ongoing basis.

Reporting into the Head, Finance, Acquisition Planning, Risk Management MI/BI and working with The Senior Management Team, Marketing, Sales, Operations, IT, Commercial departments to achieve the end goal.

Key Responsibilities; 

•Develop MI/BI strategy roadmap (short and long term) and ensure that the MI/BI Strategy is aligned with business strategic objectives

• Liaise with stakeholders to scope current MI/BI capabilities across various business units including sales, marketing and call Centre reporting. 

• Develop MI/BI kpi for strategic management as well as daily operational reporting

• Creating of functional specifications (FS), business requirements analysis, flowcharts and process maps, data mapping

• Draw up data quality kpi and enforce business rules on data management and report extraction

• Working together with SMEs to create, maintain Master Data through engagement with the business

• Working together with SMEs and Architecture team, provide guidance on technical and systems architecture decisions

• Coordinate the delivery of technology solutions for MI/BI

• Ensure successful delivery of daily and monthly data production runs.

Essential:

• A fundamental understanding of CRM, data management and data warehouses and MI/Business solutions from both technical and business perspectives

• Understanding of interfaces between SQL Server and different platforms such as Oracle, AS/400, SQL Server 2000, Pervasive, Text files etc.

• Leadership of technical teams with strong collaboration across business teams

• Excellent Communication and presentation skills

• Superior senior business stakeholder management skills

• Change management experience across a large organisation, preferably in a B2C business

Desirable: Strong technical skills with database, ETLtools and analytical tools, for example SQL Server, Oracle, SSIS, Datastage, Informatica, SAS, SSAS, SPSS.

Essential:

• Tertiary education in Information Systems or Marketing/Commerce

• At least 15 years experience with MI/BI, including leading significant MI/BI transformational initiatives from strategy/roadmap to execution with a large B2C enterprise, preferably in banking/ telco /utilities

• Led teams of at least 10 people either through dotted or bold line reporting
