Marketing Manager
The Marketing Manager will lead the marketing communications initiatives for the brand (primarily UK but also across Europe) in order to facilitate the delivery of agreed business objectives and sales targets. Working with Sales Marketing the aim of the role will be to develop a strong marketing support for the product solution business with specific focus on developing strong co-ordinated "push and pull" campaigns with proactive indirect channel marketing activities and dedicated trade channel support for the Brand for both ongoing and new product introduction.
Marketing Manager - Main Responsibilities
- Development of annual communications plan within allocated budget to meet business strategic objectives
- Implementation of agreed marketing programmes on budget and on time
- Hands-on execution and maintenance of digital tools eg web general site and installer zone, video development etc . Management of social media platform, monthly email campaigns and mobile communication
- Creation, updating and stock management of all collateral for new and existing products
- Management of PR programme and advertising campaigns within HVAC Trade Press in conjunction with advertising agency.
- Management of UK exhibitions.
- Participation in product positioning as part of NPI process NPI packaging design
- Briefing and management of various marketing agencies - creative; PR; Research; Advertising etc.
- Generation of promotional concepts presentation to key customers
- Creation of Sales presentations / webinars for key customers to sell new products prior to launch
- Provides sales support for national sales team and key account managers - planning, marketing collateral and promotional support to customers
- Support merchant customer own branding initiatives
- Ad hoc projects at request of Director of Marketing Communications
- Travel around the UK approximately 25%
Marketing Manager - Essential
- Degree qualified (ideally marketing and if not post-grad marketing qualification)
- B2B Marketing experience, ideally in a related industry
- Budgetary and planning experience
- Good English Copywriting skills and creative briefing ( for agencies)
- Experience of e-mail marketing and mobile marketing plus webinars
- Evidence of having been responsible for creating marketing collateral
- Experience of working with an indirect channel and in an international culture
- Excellent presentation skills
- Understanding of principles of research; brand; Web
- Microsoft packages including Publisher
- DMS / Digital experience
Marketing Manager - Desirable
- Demonstrate a good understanding of " the customer" needs requirements plus the ability to translate technical detail into customer benefit language
- Experience of updating CMS ( web site )
- Experience of using social media in a B2B environment
- Specific direct mail and loyalty experience
- Experience of working with print/production
