Marketing Manager Asia recruitment

Location: Based in Hong Kong or Beijing

Job Summary

• Role focuses on implementation role via the development and delivery of marketing programs by working with Chicago Marketing and Corporate Communications teams
• Manage multiple projects of different scale across different products initiatives at different stages simultaneously to a high standard, on time and within the agreed budget
• Some strategic analysis and planning will be required
• Reports to AD, International Marketing, Asia
• Marketing projects and programs to be identified by AD, International Marketing and allocated to MM, North Asia
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement marketing programs and key events to achieve set marketing objectives
• Keep AD, International Marketing, Asia updated on progress and flag any potential issues
• Ongoing management day-to-day management of the Asia marketing budget

Primary Responsibilities

• Implement marketing programs, events and projects as allocated, including working with CDS and BLM teams to identify creative solutions to meet set business objectives
• Consistent planning, monitoring, and status reporting on projects with internal client and to the wider marketing team
• Manage timelines and tracking requests/outputs from internal stakeholder teams to ensure that deadlines are met and that the project meets set targets and objectives
• Work with internal resources stakeholders to deliver high quality, innovative marketing programs that adhere with CME Group corporate values and brand standards
• Work with and manage external agencies/vendors where required
• Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills and develop positive working relationships with internal clients and marketing team members
• Recommend new processes to continually improve productivity and communication

Qualifications/ Job Details

• No supervisor responsibility (initially)
• 4 to 5 years’ professional experience
• Bachelor’s Degree, ideally with a business/marketing focus
• A background in marketing with exposure to the finance industry and understanding of the futures markets is preferred
• Strong written and spoken Chinese is a pre-requisite and essential for this role (Mandarin and preferably Simplified Chinese). Language proficiency in other Asia languages such as Cantonese, Korean or Japanese will be an asset
• Software: Microsoft Office (Powerpoint proficiency basic spreadsheet competency) and Outlook, Adobe PDF
• Marketing project management experience (client or agency side)
• Production experience (managing vendors including agency partners, printers, etc.)

• Ability to travel (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan) as and when necessary
