Business Unit Marketing Manager: Bloomberg Trading Solutions
Working with the Bloomberg Trading Solutions global marketing lead, the marketing manager will assist with defining and building a marketing plan that will build awareness for Bloomberg Trading Solutions among financial professionals. This individual will work closely with the business unit marketing lead and the central marketing team to ensure the business unit's revenue and profit objectives are adequately supported with well-informed and innovative marketing programs which effectively deliver a return on the marketing investment.
A key responsibility of the job will be to understand - and become an advocate for - the Bloomberg brand and Trading Solutions and ensure that all marketing activity undertaken on behalf of the specific solution area is aligned with and supports the overall brand. This candidate will be in the Bloomberg Trading Solutions business unit and serve as part of the marketing team at Bloomberg.
Major Responsibilities:
- Incorporate brand and product messaging into all marketing materials for the Trading Solutions business unit
- Help develop new material and refine existing material for new products within existing Bloomberg Trading Solutions
- Partner with the Trading Solutions global marketing lead and central marketing teams to support Trading Solutions goals, e.g., strategically sound marketing plans, customer segmentation, creative marketing programs and relevant metrics while ensuring alignment with the Bloomberg brand
Qualifications:
- Marketing experience, ideally with some background in branding
- Strategy development and knowledge of business models
- Value proposition and product positioning development
- Proven ability to develop and execute innovative marketing ideas
- Knowledge of the marketing mix and marketing program management
- Planning, organization and project management
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
Ideal Experience:
- 7-10 years experience in progressively responsible marketing roles and a record of superior professional accomplishment with leading, well-branded organizations.
- Track record of success in working in and influencing a fast-paced, fast-growing global organization.
- Experience in managing end-to-end marketing from analysis and planning through execution of successful marketing programs.
- Experience in packaging, positioning, pricing and launching new products and/or services.
- Experience in product management/marketing, sales support, new product development and use of market research and analysis as well as experience establishing/maintaining CRM campaigns with segmentation and reporting.
- Must have strong technical aptitude characterized by the ability to understand technical concepts, value proposition and benefits and translate them to a variety of audiences.
- Bachelor's degree is required.
