My client is a growing international software company and they are seeking a Marketing Manager for their Market Data and Analytics product. The tool is a Web-based Decision Support Centre for traders to access real time and historical spot and futures prices and analysis from leading exchanges and sources for commodities markets such as ICE, NYMEX, LME, Platts and Dow Jones. Their customers are traders of petroleum products, metals/steel, biofuels, agriculture and other commodities. They represent all size companies including the world's leading Oil Majors, National Oil Companies, trading firms, brokers and banks totalling more than 500 companies in 90 countries.

The job is multi-dimensional, and includes customer retention and new business lead generation activities in the way of branding, PR, events, online and outbound marketing campaigns, Webcasts and more. The ideal candidate is a strong writer with experience in marketing financial or energy/commodities market data systems or products and reports to the VP of Marketing.

Job Responsibilities:

* Plan, write and execute the delivery of highly targeted outbound email campaigns to generate leads for our global sales team.
* Assist in acquiring lists to develop databases to deliver qualified leads to sales team.
* Utilise SalesForce.com for campaign and lead management.
* Become a product expert of your Market Data product to effectively communicate marketing objectives internally and externally.
* Propose marketing ideas to generate results through online, PR, SEO, Events and Webcast marketing.
* Manage partner relations with market data sources to generate leads and retain customers.
* Interface with Product Development to understand new feature releases and effectively communicate that info, to customers and prospects through monthly e-newsletters and portals.
* Leverage Marketing Demand Generation system to acquire and retain customers.
* Manage Market Data Vendor activities

The Person:

* Energy, Oil, Metals/Steel Marketing experiences a plus.
* Strong knowledge of online marketing techniques, and at least 3 years experience.
* Educated to degree level or equivalent.
* Self-motivated and highly driven.
* A team player but capable of working autonomously.
* Able to manage a number of initiatives at one time.
* Aggressive self-learner of new marketing systems.
* Must be proficient in Word, Powerpoint, Excel; Dreamweaver or Front Page a plus for HTML changes; understanding of art programs such as Quark Xpress, Photoshop, Illustrator a plus.
