Duties and Responsibilities
The HB Solutions Marketing Manager will drive sales and marketing activities in the HB practice. The HB Solutions Marketing Manager will report directly to the National Marketing Team with a dotted line to Practice Leader. The HB Solutions Marketing Manager is expected to assist in achieving practice-based sales goals through the following duties and responsibilities:
"Solutions" Marketing
- Lead the development of the Value-Based Sales process, creating and getting approval for all value propositions.
- The HB Solutions Marketing Manager will work with the Practice Leader to recommend and finalize a new business marketing plan in support of the practice's sales goals.
- Develop campaigns (email campaigns, seminars, sponsorships, etc.) that can be executed by the regional offices to showcase the practice's expertise and thought leadership.
- Working with the national marketing team, create customized target lists for each individual campaign (clients and prospects), design invitations, follow up notices, and agendas. Work with local resources for on-site execution as appropriate.
- Contribute to the marketing activity calendar inclusive of local and national campaigns.
- Track competitive positioning and act as point-person for competitive intelligence collection.
- Maintain capabilities powerpoint presentations for internal and external audiences.
- Maintain materials and thought-leadership on internal and external websites.
- Showcase expertise by actively investigate speaking opportunities, new marketing channels, and newsletters, as well as establishing and maintaining a presence on Linkedin and other emerging social media outlets.
Sales Operations and Pipeline Management
- Identify relevant opportunities in sfdc and reach out to local SMCs/RSD to provide support and assistance.
- Work with the regional SMCs to track progress on leads created from different campaigns.
- Where available, ensure the sales effectiveness reports accurately reflect the pipeline for the respective practices.
Request For Proposal (RFP) Responses and New Business Presentations (15%)
- Understand what RFPs are in play, relative to the HB Practice and provide assistance as appropriate.
- Maintain supporting materials – competitive overviews, Solutions overviews, etc.
- Prep subject-matter-experts in your Solutions area for oral presentations.
National Sales and Marketing Teams
- Participate in National Marketing and Sales teams' strategic planning, informational and training events and calls; participate in Solutions Marketers' calls, and attend and contribute to Solutions Marketers' meetings.
- Be the "Knowledge Ambassador" for updating content on various internal systems.
- Liaise with the National Marketing and Sales Operations teams to ensure consistent Aon branding, messaging, and production support; provide contributions to Marketing/Communication needs, and communicate and coordinate national campaigns locally
- Communicate regularly with the national SMC team to recommend and share best practices;
- Assist in the communication, distribution, training and follow-up of national initiatives to Solutions groups.
- Contribute to, improve and maintain content on shared sales marketing platforms. Capture, prepare, and share exemplary sales work, best practices, announcements, competitor intelligence, case studies, and testimonials.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Must be self-starter, highly motivated, goal-oriented
- 5-7 years of relevant B-to-B marketing experience including development of value propositions, market planning, product launch and electronic campaigns; knowledge of salesforce.com (sfdc) helpful.
