Role
- Responsible for defining and implementing the marketing strategy for the Institutional distribution channel.
- Work closely with Consultant Relationship Management, Direct Sales and Client Relationship Management colleagues, as well as the Markets and Investment Strategy (MIS) team, to deliver a comprehensive promotional plan for all relevant company expertise.
- Extract best value across the full marketing mix.
- As required by the Head of Client Marketing, lead cross-channel marketing communications projects and sales campaigns to meet wider Distribution objectives.
- Depending on business priorities and new fund flows, manage the ongoing productivity of a Marketing Executive to meet agreed targets.
Responsibilities
- Devise an effective marketing strategy to promote the firm’s full range of products and services in the Institutional channel.
- Work with UK Client Marketing colleagues to implement this strategy within agreed budgets and timescales.
- Ensure all plans and execution meet with brand, regulatory, compliance, TCF and financial requirements.
- As needed, ensure relevant regulatory documents (Simplified Prospectuses/KIIs, short/long form reports etc) are completed to agreed standards.
- Contribute to cross-border sales and marketing initiatives as appropriate, in conjunction with the Head of UK Client Marketing.
Person specification
- Significant relevant industry experience.
- Experience of producing and implementing successful marketing plans in an asset management environment.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Very strong communication skills, including the ability to write effective investment marketing copy.
- Good technical understanding of investment products, financial markets and industry competitors.
- Planning and budgeting skills.
- At least 3-5 years’ experience already gained in a similar role in the asset management industry.
- Full knowledge of the regulatory environment and topical issues.
- Proven ability to work with a range of internal stakeholders such as Fund Managers and Sales Managers.
- Proven ability to get the best out of external providers.
- Experience of managing staff.
