Marketing Manager for Supplier and Buyer Acquisition and Supplier Relationship Management

As the Marketing Manager for Supplier and Buyer Acquisition and Supplier Relationship Management, you will be responsible for the company’s marketing and acquisition strategies from initial engagement and explanation of the company’s supply chain finance programs, closing each supplier’s participation and then managing on-boarding implementation and documentation. Thereafter, responsibilities will also include customer relationship management including analysis of supplier performance management metrics and continuous conceptualisation and implementation of improvement initiatives. You must be able to demonstrate and manage marketing solutions to business champions at the buyer-customer level, providing in-depth analysis of supplier bases with the result of ensuring that supplier acquisition and on-boarding strategies are managed effectively.

 

A key performance metric of this position will be the ability to determine strategies to trigger growth in the area of supplier engagement and enrolment, to ensure growth in asset procurement, to implement those strategies and to grow asset procurement values. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for acquisition of accounts, performance of accounts, growth of accounts and development of implementation strategies for new programs. 

Alongside these external responsibilities, you will be engaging with internal operations teams including: forecasting, planning and scheduling as well as liaising with executive management to ensure this cohesive collaborative supplier acquisition mechanism is operating efficiently.

 

Applicants must be goal oriented, self motivated and confident with the ability to exhibit authority  in managing critical customer relationships, as this position will interface with customers, peer group managers and internal senior positions, and requires an individual with a strong presence and the ability to act independently and effectively.

 

You will be working as part of a global business with activities in the United States and many countries across Europe and eventually Asia and the rest of the world. The position may require frequent travel to various locations in the US, the UK and other countries to build strong vendor/internal relationships and establish the value of vendor management processes and tools across accounts, countries and business units. 

 

The successful applicant will be educated to degree level or equivalent with a proven track record of managing a broad portfolio of accounts and customers within a financial/general services or consultancy organisation. A project management background resulting in account acquisition and management is strongly preferred. Strong negotiation skills coupled with expertise in contract and account management; exemplary written and oral communication skills and the ability to build collaboration by indirect influence.
