My client is looking for an experienced UK Marketing Manager to manage marketing strategy and activities for the UK.

As Marketing Manager you will have front-line responsibility for planning, executing and monitoring all marketing activity for the company in the UK. This includes lead generation, campaigns, marketing communications and customer engagement retention marketing to achieve new business and quarterly revenue targets. The UK Marketing Manager will have the support of the marketing team in the US office.

You will also play a vital role in driving the value proposition in the marketplace to drive growth. This will require a deep understanding of evolving customer needs, both direct and indirect customers, as well as competitor monitoring and analysis. The role will drive marketplace awareness through key messaging and public relations campaigns. The position will report to Vice President, Managing Director, UK. You will also be required to engage regularly with key stakeholders in both the UK and the US.

Responsibilities will include the following:

         Create and continually evolve marketing and promotional communications for the UK, ensuring effective messaging and positioning of products

         Plan and execute effective marketing campaigns on time and within budget, using the appropriate mix of media to achieve optimum response and marketing ROI

         Be the local knowledge centre on all key competitor activity, product developments and ensure that the UK team is fully abreast of opportunities and threats, as well as being armed with compelling proof points to protect vulnerable accounts and optimise ‘win back’ opportunities

         Develop short and medium-term strategies to drive market penetration in core segments and awareness across new markets, according to commercial guidance

         Perform analysis of marketing metrics across all media like click-through, response rates, lead conversion, sales conversion, marketing revenue and ROI, reporting monthly on KPIs and recommending changes where necessary.

 

The successful candidate will have:

·         Extensive B2C or B2B marketing experience in a wide breadth of areas. Experience marketing to SMB and organizations a huge plus

·         A corporate background in a software vendor

·         Experience managing AND executing multi-channel marketing promotions: email, direct mail, events and digital (including SEM, SEO and social media)

·         Fluent in social media

·         Demonstrable experience in market and customer research projects, transforming the analysis into actionable sales intelligence

·         Strong analytical skills and commercial aptitude

·         Excellent communication skills with substantial copywriting experience

·         Demonstrable experience in developing and effectively articulating value propositions across all marketing communications

·         University graduate
