Summary: Analyzes, develop and oversee all aspects of local marketing program?s in alignment with state marketing programs with the objective of maximizing sales and profit opportunities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. ? Responsible for inventory forecasting with a monthly trend analysis with reference to incentives, fiscal goals, and yearly goals. Provides daily communication with statewide marketing/purchasing/sales department. ? Inventory Management ? provides weekly analysis including communication on velocity to marketing, purchasing and sales. Handles transfer requests from other markets and recommends strategy to executive staff on inventory levels. ? Creates and approves local market orders for specific market situation. Works with statewide marketing on new items and communicates SORF?s with market VP. ? Ensures that details, goals, and profitability aligns with focus of market on incentives before sending to VP for approval. ? Depletion Allowance Recapture ? Coordinates and reviews customer credits, reporting and recapturing depletion allowance and reviews discount analysis. ? Manages local market special pricing with VP and negotiates depletion allowance support with suppliers. Makes recommendations on executive programs with statewide marketing and market VP. ? Manages local accruals for incentives and credits. ? Reviews and analyzes brands for opportunities of sales and profits. Creates and maintains local marketing calendar for major brands in regards to surveys, pricing, incentives and special market conditions. Attends supplier reviews. ? A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-2 years previous sales or marketing experience with an alcoholic beverage wholesaler or supplier. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Other Skills and Abilities Spanish bilingual abilities preferred.
