Marketing Manager (Netherlands)
Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Develop the annual marketing plans, in coordination with the local Head of the branch HQ (in London)
- Manage the process to deliver on all marketing campaigns and initiatives – web content, offers, sponsorships etc. – drawing on central resource to facilitate
- Responsible for working with the Head of the branch and respective teams to plan implement the communications plans
- Manage the relationships with external media agencies and publishers where required
- Managing the creative output and overseeing the implementation of the Group’s marketing strategy, including planning advertising campaigns, sponsorship deals, digital marketing and social media
- Ensure media is purchased effectively – the candidate will need to demonstrate strong negotiation skills
- Work with the European Marketing and Business Development Manager and the European Content and Business Development Manager to plan and deliver high quality and timely marketing campaigns, ensuring they are always on Brand and suitable to the local market
- Work with the Head of the branch with the Insight Team to understand the consumer value proposition, and have a strong understanding of the competitive landscape to strengthen brand positioning, messaging, look feel etc.
- Work closely with the Sales Team to better understand the business needs (Quantity vs. Quality of Leads etc.); this will help optimise the Marketing budget
- Work with the Head of the branch to deliver the demand generation strategy. Be involved commercially and provide innovative growth ideas on an on-going basis
- Evaluate and query reporting produced by Insight/Online teams at least on a weekly basis to ensure effective marketing and support strategic planning
- Management of a sizeable Sales Marketing Media budget. On-going multi-channel budget reporting and optimisation for ad spend ROI.
Desired skills and competencies are:
- Degree qualified and / or holding a Marketing post grad qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Relevant Marketing Management experience in The Netherlands
- Proven experience in managing marketing budget and campaigns
- Previous experience in comparing multichannel performance data versus KPIs on an on-going basis
- Fluency in Dutch and in English
- Experience in Marketing in a Financial / Trading firm based in The Netherlands
- Experience in managing people
- Confident and driven
- Commercial and creative
- Entrepreneurial mind-set
- Capable of managing relationships at any level
- Experience in managing multi-channel marketing campaigns, creating real impact, with an emphasis on online
- Highly analytical
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
