Location - Moscow
Role Purpose:
Owns the delivery of the sales components of the marketing plans to achieve divisional business objectives in Russia/CIS, enabling sales staff with the required knowledge, skills and tools through effective and consistent communication frameworks. Provides closed loop feedback through quality data capture and customer insight to inform decision making and enhance strategic marketing analysis. GSAM Marketing owns the last mile handshake with customers and ensures efficient channelling of communications to sales teams and direct to customers.
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Reporting to the Regional Head of GSAM Marketing the role is accountable for the following key deliverables in Russia/CIS:
Execute the sales component of the marketing plan
Act as a point person for marketing activity in the region, responsible for localisation and execution of the marketing plan in territory
Deliver the sales component of the marketing plan including aggregation, co-ordination, resource planning, sales mobilisation and event marketing
Implementation of measurable marketing activities driven by a clearly defined sales and marketing process e.g. support sales in lead management, disposition and conversion rates
Customise the plan and activities for specific channels and accounts - ( i.e. Customise the plan and activities for strategically important accounts - join up for account level and end-user engagement, client internal marketing)
Align and prioritise activities against the available resources in conjunction with SBU and GSM Marketing Management via a regional forum
Provide best practice leadership and execution in event marketing (physical and virtual), in conjunction with the event team
Populate regional marketing scorecard and provide qualitative customer feedback on performance to inform interventions and future marketing program development
Enable the Sales force
Support sales management in lead management - Develop and Introduce strategies to improve lead disposition and conversion rates
Deliver sales generating activities - sales sprints, local sales initiatives, SKOs
Provide specific marketing support, as required, to the RUSSIA/CIS Sales Channel
Ensure Russia/CIS front line have to tools, knowledge and leads to succeed
Drive and inform bi-weekly Focus Hours with the front-line.
Ensure quality data capture and provide sales with insight
Drive the systematic capture of timely, robust and rich customer feedback and data across all channels in the region
Develop strong local relationships with relevant market and customer contacts to inform and support marketing programs and SBU insight.
Provide local insight into markets and competitors, and input to Trust, based on local client and front-line engagement
Identify and propose Segment or cross Segment 'from the ground' opportunities.
Assist with running of CAB program as appropriate, including recruitment of members from Russia/CIS
Scope and Impact
This role covers Russia and the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States). Initially it is primarily focused on the Finance and Risk business, but the role may expand to cover other Thomson Reuters Business Units. The role influences operational sales performance, GSAM revenue and customer retention targets in Russia/CIS. It requires high levels of collaboration across the European team and with other Marketing and Division based colleagues.
Key performance indicators to include:
· Sales metrics to help form marketing plan: sales, leads, retention etc
· Revenue and retention targets (in territory) as appropriate
· Agreed lead disposition rates and/or direct revenue generation from activities

- Marketing thought leader with strong customer-facing network and profile.
- Knowledge of sales channels, enablement and best practice
- Must exhibit perspective and understanding of how marketing can benefit Thomson Reuters in order to set industry and business precedents and stay ahead of the competition.
- Knowledge of financial sector customer segments.
· Highly collaborative individual with proven ability to work well in a matrix and effectively manage across boundaries
- Proven ability in strategically using customer knowledge to drive Marketing activities.
- Proven ability to deliver marketing plans that enable new sales, customer satisfaction and retention.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
· Ability to bring innovation and freshness to our marketing execution
· Native or excellent Russian a must
· Educated to degree level - marketing or commercial specialisation an advantage
Relationships: Internal / External
- Must build and maintain relationships externally (customers and prospects, trade associations) and internal colleagues across Thomson Reuters.
Professional Experience
Proven experience in a marketing role within the financial services industry. Material experience in delivering marketing services and sales enablement to sales staff. Working with a global team. Experience and understanding of driving return on investment for marketing expenditures. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrix structure.
