Current Need
McKesson Health Systems (MHS) Acute Care Solutions Marketing Manager will be responsible for the management and expansion of Acute Care solution sets. Within that capacity, this position will, in conjunction with the Director, MHS Acute Care Solutions Marketing, establish the strategy and marketing plans in support of Acute Care solutions.
The manager will manage Acute Care solutions, such as the Bar Code readiness offering, and ensure they are effectively launched, operationalized, maintained, enhanced, and eventually retired or replaced. This position will continuously monitor assigned Acute Care solutions¿ relevance and effectiveness in meeting market needs or trends, as well as responding to competitive threats/opportunities.
This position will be responsible for making recommendations on Acute Care solution sets and their goals and objectives, as well as monitoring and reporting on their metrics.
This position requires an individual who is focused on results and excellence, while continually supporting the ICARE principles.
Position Description
Responsible for the planning and implementation of projects that support the marketing function. Works individually or with a team in recommending action, scheduling and planning projects, estimating cost and managing projects to completion. May identify, evaluate and recommend marketing opportunities consistent with product line objectives, provide pre- and post-sale marketing support to distributor, and resellers, and support public relations through researching, writing and editing press releases.
Additional Knowledge Skills
¿ Familiar with healthcare, hospitals, or alternate site (long term care, infusion, hospice) care settings preferred
¿ Experienced working with a field sales organization
¿ Sound business acumen and analytic skills
¿ Experience with MS Office Suite
¿ Strong written and verbal communication skills
¿ Experience with Salesforce.com, working with advertising agencies and managing a project budget are desirable.
¿ Familiar with demand generation principles and marketing automation capabilities
Minimum Requirements
8+ years experience in marketing
Education
4-year degree in Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent experience
