Marketing / PR Manager Job in North York, Ontario Canada

Our large manufacturing client in North York has an exciting new opportunity within its organization and is currently seeking a Marketing/PR Manager to join its team!

In this role, you will be responsible for developing strategies and plans to build the business within the Canadian marketplace. We are looking for a candidate that 'thinks outside the box', is creative, outgoing, polished, professional, and has a hands on personal style. You will be responsible for full cycle projects from inception to roll out and maintaining projects within set budgets that have been created. The chosen candidate must be very well versed in Public Relations and Social Networking i.e.: Twitter and Facebook to increase product awareness through various advertising channels.

This position is paying 60-65K.

 

Job Duties:

-Project Management

You will be taking ideas and making them reality. You will also analyze why your idea will work in the market and present it to upper management with your supportive evidence.

You will be working anywhere from 3 to 4 projects at a time.

Developing strategies:

-Assist sales in building and strengthening business relationships with vendors and end users. (also involved in the development of various client loyalty programs/rewards, trade shows, regional events, and various design schools)

-Support the growth of targeted product categories including the development of promotions

 

Management:

-Develop and manage the annual budget

-Manage the launch process for North American market including content development, distribution, communications and continually recommending approaches to maximize their effectiveness and the rapid take off of new products

-Support the development of the division annual strategic plan through analysis and plan recommendations

-Continually evaluate the effectiveness of key initiatives undertaken by the marketing department to ensure that the investment pays out to recommend how to improve them or develop alternative programs with more impact

 

Must Have:

-University or Post Grad Degree in Business and/or Marketing

-Minimum 5-8 years related experience-solid Business to Business marketing, direct marketing and event planning will be an asset

-Must have CPG experience

-Previous marketing experience within a furniture manufacturer would be considered an asset OR previous experience within a manufacturer with full product development with on site show room would be an asset

-Excellent computer skills: MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
