Marketing Programme Management Contractor recruitment

The Role:

Bloomberg is hiring experienced marketing programme manager contractors. We are a small, tight-knit team in a fast paced financial services company.

Types of marketing programmes you may get involved in:
- Country advocate for creating, piloting implementing marketing programmes across North, Central and Southern Europe: inc. France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Sweden for our Financial Services business
- Regional adaptation of global marketing plans and programmes in support of the Bloomberg Professional service and other Financial Product businesses such as fixed income, equities, derivatives and electronic trading
- Structuring and programme managing Bloomberg's Olympics initiatives. This will be across our multimedia, financial services and philanthropic endeavours and includes Olympics legacy messaging.
- Deep diving into creating a strategic marketing plan for a new area of business

Skill we are looking for:
- Substantial proven regional marketing experience in large brands (background in IT, financial services or top-tier marketing/ad agencies essential)
- Experience in sales enablement marketing. i.e. marketing designed to help business units and sales leaders achieve their business goals and help them develop new business opportunities
- Able to work in a fast-paced, high-output and action-oriented environment
- Ability to multitask between priorities, from in-depth, strategic marketing communications planning to responding to tactical requests efficiently and with minimum fuss
- Outstanding project management and organisational skills, with proven ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously with multiple demanding audiences and against tight deadlines;
- Significant hands-on experience in building and executing marketing programs across EMEA that leverage multiple channels to achieve marketing and business goals with measurable results;
- Flexible approach and the ability to adapt to different working environments, with experience in working across time zones to New York
- Excellent communication skills, including writing, editing and verbal communication;
- In addition to fluency in English, capabilities with languages we're seeking: German, French and Swedish
- An insight into where Marketing is heading in terms of the use of new technologies and media and a passion for exploring new marketing methods are highly desirable.
- Pragmatic sense of business acumen, problem solving, creativity, tenacity and sense of 'getting things done' in an especially fast paced environment

The Small Print:
- Given the relative start up nature of a formal Marketing team at Bloomberg, the ability to educate and guide sales and product clients will be key
- Develop effective working relationships to help business units and sales leaders achieve their business goals as well as help them develop new business opportunities.
- Work closely with the Global Marketing teams to ensure that EMEA requirements are included in the planning process. Ensure that EMEA is current with any global plans and priorities and that the programs envisaged are appropriate for the EMEA markets. Identify gaps not covered by the Global marketing teams and create local programs as appropriate.
- Ensure understanding of the brand positioning and the core set of brand attributes ensure adherence to the brand in all internal and external communications.
- An MBA or at the very least a bachelor degree in marketing is required.

Contract(s) will initially be offered on a three month basis, although our desire is to develop long term relationships with a few key contractors and may over time possibly open the position(s) to a permanent role.
