Position Description:
Morgan Stanley Smith Barney is looking for a proactive marketing project manager to lead the implementation of a range of brand and marketing initiatives across various client touch points, including advertising campaigns, sales tools and materials as well as communications through digital channels and new technologies.
The ideal candidate will have financial services marketing experience, be a self-starter and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Working on both interactive and marketing projects, this position will interact with both internal and external teams and clients to keep projects on track and moving forward as well as contribute to content development. This position will need to wear multiple hats and go with the flow.
Responsibilities
• Manage multifaceted brand and marketing projects from inception through completion, ensuring that project deliverables are of the highest quality from a design and content perspective, meet the standards of the Morgan Stanley brand, and achieve the clients' performance goals.
• Develop project plans, schedules and budgets, and identify and engage necessary cross-functional internal and external resources.
• Keep track of milestones, deliverables and meeting outcomes, and provide regular project progress/status reports to ensure that all stakeholders have the information needed to make informed decisions.
• Manage project trade-offs across scope, timing and resources through teamwork and negotiation, escalating issues when necessary.
• Maintain solid understanding of the needs of our financial advisors and their clients through developing good working relationships with financial advisors and business leaders.
Skills Required:
Education Experience
• 5-8+ years marketing, project management and/or account management experience
• BA/BS in marketing, communications or related discipline
• Exceptional people and communication skills and client focus - ability to work with a variety of personality types and interact with senior leaders as well as colleagues across the firm
• Self-motivated and ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to think analytically and creatively and bring innovative solutions to marketing challenges
• Understanding of branding and marketing concepts and tactics
