Department description:

The Marketing and Communications department is responsible for the management and positioning of the Tradeweb brand, as well as the development and execution of strategic programs that support the growth of Tradeweb markets and services. The group is responsible for product marketing and sales promotion, public affairs, social media, corporate philanthropy and the company website. Our communications team is responsible for positioning Tradeweb with the media, as well as securing conference participation and other thought leadership opportunities, such as speeches. The department is also responsible for companywide communications.

Description of position:

Electronic trading is evolving fast and the VP will be expected to closely monitor and understand these trends at a high level in order to develop impactful strategies for increasing Tradeweb’s market share in the US. Strong knowledge of the financial markets in which Tradeweb operates is essential for this role. The expansion of Tradeweb’s markets, as well as a growing demand for strategic marketing from the team, necessitates this senior, full-time position. The role demands flexible work hours and the willingness to travel, when required. The list of responsibilities below, while representative, is not exhaustive and the nature of a small team demands an integrated and flexible approach to the job.

Responsibilities/accountabilities:

a)Brand

You will work closely with the Global Head of Marketing and Communications to develop and implement campaigns to strengthen the firm’s brand position.

b)Product Marketing

You will work with product managers to develop and implement targeted marketing activities that drive transaction volumes, as well as increase the customer base and market penetration of Tradeweb’s markets and services. You will research market opportunities to determine the demand for products and services offered by Tradeweb and its competitors and identify potential new customers. You will help develop pricing strategies with the goal of maximizing Tradeweb’s profits or share of the market while growing customer’s satisfaction.

c)Sales Support

The successful candidate will manage sales support for these markets, including the creation of collateral for all business units. You will work closely with the sales management to coordinate any new product launches or the rollout of key functionality. Manage the creation of custom premiums and other sales promotional concepts to support the overall sales initiative.

d)Internal Communication

You will be expected to devise internal promotions and communications ideas to promote the markets you will be positioning, as well as messaging around these to Tradeweb staff.

e)Maintain and develop the website.

Ensure the site content is up to date. Develop new ideas to improve on existing content. Work with the marketing communications team on implementing new web content. Develop additional social and digital media plans and programs. (i.e., blogs, LinkedIn, twitter, etc.)

f)Campaign management

You will work closely with the Global Head of Marketing and Communications to provide ideas and implement campaigns to support the business goals of the organization. In this capacity, you will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of campaigns, working closely with various business managers – from the initial concept, copy writing, co-ordination with designers, creative oversight, to printing and production. You will be responsible for providing the business justification for new campaigns and expected to deliver all campaigns on time and on budget.
