Marketing Representative I Job in New York, New York US
Summary:
The Marketing Representative I is responsible for providing community outreach and educating Medicaid eligible individuals about various Medicaid products, generating enrollment leads and referrals. In addition the representative will present plan information at various marketing locations, including community events to increase awareness and sales of our products. The Marketing representative will determine eligibility for enrollment and will assist with the completion of enrollment forms.
Responsibilities:
1. The Marketing Representative I will be assigned specific sites to market the portfolio of products offered. Representatives are to initiate conversations with the general public on the importance of healthcare and the services a managed care organization provides.
2. Required to give weekly marketing presentations to their manager to ensure they are compliant with all NYC Dept of Health marketing guidelines.
3. Required to participate in monthly training
4. Attend weekly events, schools, sites, and meetings.
5. Responsible for establishing new business contacts within the community they are assigned.
6. Acts as service representative for assigned projects and acts as a resource to the membership and the community as needed
7. Manage and maintain positive relationships with community organizations, provider offices, faith based organizations and perform other activities to enhance Amerigroup's presence in the community.
8. Conducts and manages presentations, staff exhibits and perform other activities in an effort to maintain and established positive relationships with providers, community and faith based organizations.
9. Provides telephonic assistance, outreach and/or guidance to members and potential members regarding benefit and enrollment questions, and/or providing assistance on any social service needs.
10. When appropriate and approved by the State, assists potential and existing members with the enrollment or recertification process.
11. Supports and manages health education activities and referral of members to health education programs.
12. Represents Amerigroup at community organizations and events such as promotions, enrollment events (when approved by the State) and health fairs.
13. Manage retention activities necessary to ensure resolution to members and potential members around continuity of care issues.
14. Meets and/or exceeds department service standards.
15. All other professional duties as assigned.

Required:
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred:
Associates Degree or BS/BA degree

1 year of Sales experience
Preferred:
Healthcare sales experience
Specific Technical Skills

Experience working with a computer

Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends
Must have own transportation or be able to use public transportation
