Roles and Responsibilities
• Responsible to successfully manage the implementation of BI related projects within the Project Plan and in accordance with the business objectives.
• Take the leadership in project planning, resourcing, progress reporting, project team management.
• Assume ownership and responsibility for small and medium projects implementations from project initiation through successful implementation.
• Determine the scope and clear business objectives of the project and the critical success factors of implementation projects with the completion of the Project Handbook.
• Ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget and in accordance with established processes and procedures.
• Proactively manage global project team, including difference business functions in the organization, IT, external stakeholders and/or vendors, expectation, secure buy-in, feedback and resolve issues.
• Plan, secure, manage and maximize utilization of project resources, including project expenditure against budget.
• Anticipate risk, mitigate, manage and own the resolution of all inter work stream risk and issues
• Liase with IT operations, service desk, application support and engineering teams to ensure project handover to post production support
• Monitor quality of deliverables according to Strategic Project Office (SPO) implementation methodology and standards maintain project documentation and ensure compliance to SPO’s tollgates.
Requirements:
- At least 8 – 12 years of experience within Business Intelligence, Master Data and Data Governance
- Some experience in Project Management is a good to have
- Financial, retail payment or retail business knowledge is highly preferred.
- Experience in managing teams of minimum 10 people.
- Experience in contract negotiation and management.
• Working experience in an international and matrix organization with teams distributed in different time zones.
• Strong project management, communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Leadership, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize workload.
• Maturity in managing expectations: negotiating schedules, change requests, dealing with scope creep, and leading technical issues through to resolution.
• Must be detailed oriented, with high quality standards and accuracy in work, independent, goal oriented and with self-motivating personality.
• Prior experience in the major phases of a software project: analysis, design, testing, implementation planning, installation and training.
• Excellent in English (written and spoken), Since the role will engage the China business extensively, strong Mandarin speaking skills are preferred. Any other languages such as Japanese or Korean is desirable.
• Willingness for international travel of up to 30%.
