Job Description Job Classification: Contract The Materials Control Associate shall primarily direct and provide hands-on execution of all functions involved in the receipt, warehousing and control of materials. The Materials Control Associate will work with GMP Manufacturing, Purchasing and the Quality groups to implement and manage inventory control systems for the manufacture of our client products. These systems will assure maintenance of inventory levels for Raw, WIP and Finished Goods. Experience in receiving, inspection, release, control and distribution of raw materials under cGMP regulations is essential. Previous experience in Purchasing and Quality functions is desirable. Must Haves: Following policies and procedures for the receiving, inspection, release, control and distribution activities and requirements. Executing the receiving, inspection, staging, release, control and distribution activities. Provision of raw and IP materials to manufacturing. Tracking of raw, WIP and final product materials. Planning and scheduling with manufacturing areas to provide for material needs during production campaigns. Monitoring material inventory levels and determining when to expedite/de-expedite replenishments. Coordinating purchasing activities with other departments to maintain inventories at planned levels. Working closely with procurement manufacturing and quality to ensure timely receipt release and consumption of materials. Effectively partnering with stakeholder departments in identifying critical issues relative to clinical raw materials and planning. Will be responsible for receiving and properly storing hazardous chemicals. Adhering to all company policies and regulatory requirements. Shipping materials and final product as needed. Participating in existing and new product planning processes to assure timely acquisition of materials to support product launches. Performing other related duties as required.
