The successful applicant will be responsible for providing support in the control of the material supply process for both Internal and External Customers.

Job Role

In this role you will be required to support the Supply Chain Supervisor in the control of material projects from raw material to finished product. Duties will involve material set up, supplier scheduling, production planning and customer/supplier liaison.  In addition you will be responsible for accommodating customer’s delivery schedules, analysing, planning and coordinating internal production to meet customer needs. This role will involve communicating delivery plans and issues arising with nominated customers and maintaining sales orders to meet our clients’ requirements.

In the supervisor’s absence, you will generate production plans and liaise with production to ensure they are met. As a Material Controller/Expediter you will be asked to expedite daily materials required for defined projects. This job will require you to measure and report departmental KPI’s.

Other duties will involve stock control including highlighting all potential stock outs and resolving issues. You will ensure stock levels are minimised in line with company procedure. You must be prepared to physically count stock if necessary and creating new part numbers and Bills of Material and ensure all part changes are managed, and obsolescence is minimised.

Qualifications 

A minimum of 5 GCSE’s at Grade C or above including English and Mathematics, or equivalent.

Skills Required

Ideally you will have previous Material Control experience in a manufacturing environment and experience in using SAP, (however training will be given to the right candidate). You must have good verbal and written communication skills and be IT literate in Lotus Notes and MS Office applications (particularly in Excel). A communicative level of German language will be a distinct advantage for this role.  Additionally, general administration skills are desirable. As a successful candidate you will have good attention to detail and be able to work unsupervised, and be willing to take responsibility for your own areas of performance.

Working conditions

Your hours of work will be: Monday – Thursday 08.00 -17.00 (45 minutes lunch break) and Friday 08.00 – 14.30 (30 minutes lunch break).
