Tubelite currently has an opening for a Material Handler on 2nd at the Walker facility.
General Description
- Responsible for proper receipt, preparation, recording and dispatch of incoming and/or outgoing materials.
- Prepare or complete records verifying material identity, count, weight, routing, etc.
- Forward records to initiate accounting procedures
- May assign and instruct helpers, assist in truck loading, unloading, etc.
- Communicate any discrepancies between ordered and received material
- Responsible for following documented procedures as well as producing and ensuring product meets or exceeds established product specifications.
Position Requirements
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- Must have a valid Hilo license or have the ability to obtain and retain one
- Must be able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours
- Must be able to bend easily at the waist
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Accurate data entry skills
- Must be able to demonstrate basic math skills
- Must have demonstrated excellent attendance
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to read a tape measure accurately
- Must be able to read work instructions.
- Must be able to use small hand tools, including knives, hammers, screw drivers, etc.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be willing to do repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to maintain a high rate of efficiency.
- Basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communications skills
- Ability to repetitively bend, lift, and twist
- Willingness and ability to cross-train into all warehouse positions
- Excellent attendance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse, shipping, and receiving experience preferred
