Material Handler
Material Handler - Warehousing/Shipping
Job Purpose:
Utilizes lift equipment to maintain materials flow, replenishment, and distribution of product at a large distribution center. Receives (off-loads) materials from trailer appropriately processing/recording materials into the distribution center; picking/colleciting materials from order pick locations to fulfill orders; replenishes order pick locations by moving materials/product from inventory storage; stages finished orders for loading onto trailer (shipping).
Duties:
* Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
* Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
* Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
* Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
* Verifies materials and supplies code and lot number and quantity when placing materials in inventory or picking for order fulfillment.
* Prepares completed orders for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
* Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
* Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; making operator repairs.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
* Perform all duties Safely in adhereing to the company's Lean principles.
* Strives to achieve the highest quality standards of order pick accuracy and productivity.
Skills/Qualifications:
- familiarity and/or comfortable with RF scanning system (training provided)
- minimum 1-year lift operation experience desired (site training provided) with potential to earn training on various lift equipment.
- must be Detail Oriented, Deadline-Oriented
