Australian Gold has two (2) great opportunities at our Indianapolis, IN warehouse for a Material Handler and a Cycle Counter. We are looking for a solid team player that understands the importance of accuracy and the timely completion of daily tasks.
Material Handler
Responsibilities:
¨ Evaluate and communicate any quality issues.
¨ Replenish, unload, picks, prepare, stage, and load inventory using material handling equipment.
¨ Responsible for inventory discrepancy resolution assuring inventory integrity.
¨ Perform computerized and manual functions and supports material handling system.
¨ Maintain shipping commitment per Company policies.
¨ Inspect material handling equipment daily and communicate results.
¨ Significant use of forklifts and/or heavy and repetitive lifting.
¨ Assemble components into kits.
¨ Communicate essential information to the employees within the department and/or within the Company.
Cycle Counter
Responsibilities:
¨ Investigate codes initiated in Customer Service to resolve issues with a customer’s order (missing product, wrong product, etc.)
¨ Compare product name, item number, description, stock numbers, authorized substitutes, and other listed information with catalogs, manuals, parts lists, and similar references to verify accuracy of requisitions and shipping orders.
¨ Receive and put away inventory while maintaining a zero error rate.
¨ Perform cycle count and physical inventory counts.
¨ Communicate essential information to the employees within the department and/or within the Company.
¨ Unload and load inventory using material handling equipment.
Qualifications:
¨ High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
¨ A self-starter and accuracy is a must.
¨ Must have working knowledge of computers. Axapta Connect Ship experience preferred.
¨ Detailed Oriented.
¨ Team Player.
¨ Previous forklift experience required.
¨ Although this position will work in all areas of the warehouse, this position will have an emphasis on shipping truck line orders.
