Material Manager/Expeditor Job in Corona 92880, California US
Job Purpose:
The Materials Manager is responsible for the preparation, scheduling and coordination of all Job Production Orders. Provides data input into production control software as required for all work orders entering the production environment. The Materials Manager serves as point of contact for all job related concerns and provides job scheduling and materials availability updates as required to management and other internal customers.
The Materials Manager will assist in the development of process flow and enforce approved process guidelines. The Materials Manager will be required to interface with management and other groups effectively. Must possess the ability to communicate and coordinate with internal customers/vendors on technical issues relating to Job Production Orders and Material requirements. Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with quality control personnel, users, vendors and others to determine the source of defect and take corrective action. Does related work as may be required.
Will be responsible to release work orders to support production schedules. Works with managers, supervisors and manufacturing support personnel to achieve department schedules. Provides status updates to Manufacturing Managers.
The Materials Manager provides necessary information for process updates necessary in support of the production environment. The Materials Manager must have the ability to work well in a fast-paced, timeline driven manufacturing environment.
Duties include but are not limited to:
* Production scheduling and expediting

* Maintenance of reorder points
* Usage forecasts
* Review of Market Prices, Delivery and Lead times
* Material Sourcing
* Supervision of staff
