Materials Analyst/Planner
SUMMARY This position provides a strategic direction for materials related activities within the assigned areas. Responsible for guiding, controlling and maintaining inventory processes and material flow in the area assigned in a manner consistent with corporate philosophies and objectives. Contributes to problem solving and provides leadership and training on issues related to materials management and inventory control. Serves as functional area representative on special projects as needed. Serves as a ?lead? and trainer for Material Flow Specialists and assigns their day to day duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Coordinate information on parts based on contracts and sales and create new part numbers as needed. 2. Maintain data integrity on item masters in the plant. 3. Primary contact on setting up part numbers in JDE. 4. Update safety stock, leadtimes and stocking type as needed. 5. Enter, update and Obsolete part numbers and kit BOMs. 6. Support production part needs by responding to buyer requests. 7. Aid Sales Administrators in creating World Writers and data transfers. 8. Prepare reports for Inventory Manager and Material Planning Manger to analyze. 9. Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records, such as part number records and GFM part number records. 10. Other duties as assigned.
